Response Evaluator: Applied Practice is seeking experienced classroom teachers, grades 6-12, to score and evaluate student responses using a set of prescribed standards in our online scoring platform, nGauge™. Many of our evaluators have years of experience in developing best instruction practices as well as have served as graders for national standardized exams and writers for education publishers. Educational Sales Representatives: Applied Practice is seeking Educational Sales Representatives for many areas of the U.S. Educational Sales Representatives will work with an existing client base of schools, as well as develop and maintain new clients. Experience in the education market is a plus, but not required. This is an independent contractor position. No benefits are provided. Content Writers: Applied Practice hires English, math, science, and social studies content writers on a contract basis for content development. When these assignments become available, they are excellent opportunities for highly-qualified active and retired educators. Applied Practice Content Writers are responsible for writing assessment questions in a variety of standardized test formats. Familiarity with one or more of the following test formats is a must: Advanced Placement, SAT, ACT, or STAAR. The creation (or writing) of other types of supplemental teaching aids and development, such as professional development materials, student lessons, and other classroom resources is also contracted. All successful candidates will have a background in classroom teaching and possess excellent writing skills, have an excellent grasp of subject matter, and knowledge of exam format(s). Prior writing and/or editing experience is desirable. Proficiency in common computer application programs (e-mail, Microsoft Office, etc.) is a must. Content Writers are hired on a contract basis only. No benefits are provided.
Content Editors: Highly-qualified content writers may also be contracted for book editing. Applied Practice Content Editors are responsible for reviewing book drafts for content, clarity, readability, and adherence to format; providing feedback to writers; and strengthening content when necessary. Editors must have excellent written communication skills and subject knowledge. Successful candidates will have a background in classroom teaching and possess excellent writing skills, have an excellent grasp of subject matter, and knowledge of exam format(s). Prior writing and/or editing experience is desirable. Proficiency in common computer application programs (e-mail, Microsoft Office, etc.) is a must. Content Editors are hired on a contract basis only. No benefits are provided.
