Mock Exams and Assessment Scoring Service

mock exam administration begins november 1, 2024.

Mock Exams and Assessment Scoring Service

When students practice and receive feedback on assessments that simulate those encountered on actual exams they are better prepared for success. The Applied Practice Assessment Scoring Service provides that opportunity! Teachers can administer various types and styles of exams, both multiple choice and open response, and get personalized feedback that delivers actionable data.

Over 1,000,000 student responses scored since 2014

nGauge Scoring Platform

Multiple choice questions are scored and analyzed using our nGaugeTM Scoring Platform, and open response questions are evaluated by our cadre of expert educators using a set of prescribed standards. Detailed reports are delivered directly to teachers to guide preparation as students move forward.

Digital and Hybrid Mock Exams

Teachers have the flexibility to choose between Digital or Hybrid administrations based on the exam format students will encounter in May.

Assessment Scoring Service FAQs

No, our standard packages are designed for AP courses; however, we also offer custom packages for grades 6-12.

No, if you have something specific you would like to score, you can provide the rubric or answer key and skills, and we will score and report accordingly.

Exam administration, scoring, and reporting are conducted through our proprietary platform, nGauge™, featuring real-time dashboards for teachers and administrators. Teachers are individually registered in nGauge, and it is that registration which then drives the administration, scoring, and reporting processes.

No, we offer the use of our scoring platform for a small licensing fee. Applied Practice will set up your exam questions, answer key, rubric, and reporting. Additionally, if you inform us when you are administering your exam, we will ensure a member of our team is available for support.

To protect student data, we ask that students input only a unique identifier, allowing the teacher to identify their scores. We never ask for student email addresses or other identifying information. Furthermore, we do not save student data, and all records are deleted at the end of the school year.

We provide several flexible administration options, including both online and paper/pencil formats.

At Applied Practice we're in this together! If you inform us when you are administering your exam, we will ensure a member of our team is available for support. We are also available to assist with any questions or concerns prior to your administration.

Yes, Applied Practice offers custom reporting options, with administrators and teachers having access to the nGauge Dashboard.

Possibly, but we offer multiple forms for each Mock Exam. If you have any concerns about exam content, please feel free to reach out to us.

Starting with the 2023-24 school year, Applied Practice will offer a complimentary Results Webinar for English Language and English Literature in April 2024. During this webinar, we will review the Multiple Choice and Free Response results from the Applied Practice Form A Mock Exam. Additionally, we will provide suggestions for exam preparation and conduct a Q&A session. Webinars for other exams may be available upon request.
