Literature Series: Imagery and Poetry is a comprehensive teaching unit with lessons and activities on analyzing the use of imagery and poetic elements. This guide contains topic-specific lessons and reproducible activities and worksheets that teach and reinforce these skills and concepts. Group and individual activities are included.
Note: We have chosen to cover imagery and poetry together because of the frequent use of imagery in poetry. However, imagery can be found in all genres, and examples from fiction and nonfiction are also included in this guide.
